Force Majeure Event for Liquid Organo-Phosphite Products

Dover Chemical Company has received force majeure declarations from our suppliers of phosphorus tri-chloride (PCl3), a component used to manufacture our Liquid Organo-Phosphite products.  This follows months of tightening supply caused by chlorine shortages.  While we are procuring PCl3 from alternative suppliers, we have not been able to secure sufficient supply to meet requirements.  This unfortunate force majeure event (“Force Majeure Event”) will limit our ability to produce Liquid Organo-Phosphite products and may render some operations impracticable.  We will be forced to limit supply and allocate product among our customers.

This situation is fluid and we are unable to determine how long this Force Majeure Event will continue.  However, please be assured that we are working diligently to return to normal operations as soon as practicable and to minimize the impact of this event on our customers and their businesses.  We will provide you with updates as more information becomes available.

We sincerely appreciate your patience during this difficult time. Please direct any questions to your regional sales manager.

Very truly yours,
DOVER CHEMICAL CORPORATION
